Are you ready to discover the glory of Ancient Rome?
On this 3-hour tour of the Pantheon, you can learn more about and explore the best-preserved monument from that era. Once you are inside, your guide will explain the history behind this temple of all Gods.
Learn more about how Agrippa started the construction of the Pantheon after the Battle of Actium (31 BC) and how the Pantheon, as well as the Basilica of Neptune, is thought to be Agrippa’s ‘Sacra Privata’ rather than public temples.
Continue to the Palazzo Montecitorio and see Bernini’s addition of a bell gable at the main entrance. Move on to the Mausoleum of Augustus (a funerary monument) before moving on to the Ara Pacis Augustae altar dedicated to the Roman Goddess of Peace (Pax).
