Retrace China’s footsteps from the days of kings and queens to its modern advancements on this full-day tour. Your day begins with a hotel pick-up, where you will meet your expert English-speaking guide. Step aboard the comfortable air-conditioned coach and make your journey to your first stop, The Summer Palace. Once the royal family’s summer retreat, this magnificent structure is known for its beautiful bridges and temples, not to mention the glittering Kunming Lake and the Longevity Hill, crowned by the eight-tiered Tower of Buddhist Incense.
After exploring the Palace, visit a traditional jade factory to admire some of the most exquisite pieces of Chinese craftsmanship. Break for lunch and replenish your energy with a delicious serving of traditional Chinese food. You will need it for the next stop - a visit to the Great Wall of China! The Badaling Great Wall is the best-preserved and the most popular of all the sections. Walk along its pathways and capture the sights of forests and the blue sky at 800 meters above sea level! You can also buy a cable car ticket and get incredible views from up above.
Next, see the National Stadium and National Aquatics Center, nicknamed as Bird’s Nest and Water Cube respectively. The designs of these constructions mix modern technologies with traditional Chinese values.
