A wrought iron lattice tower constructed in 1889, the Eiffel Tower is one of the most widely recognized structures in the world today. It was named after Gustave Eiffel, an engineer whose company built the tower. It stands at a colossal 1063 feet and at the time of its construction, it was the tallest human-made structure in the world. Three levels of the tower are accessible by visitors. It was met with widespread criticism before construction, due to its design and the belief that it wasn’t feasible. Once it was built, however, most protesters changed their minds, and currently, it has become a global cultural icon.

The first and second level are accessible by a staircase, having 300 steps each. A restaurant is present on each level, and most visitors don’t go to the higher levels. During 2015, 6.91 million people visited the Eiffel Tower, and on average 25,000 people visit the tower every day. This makes it the most-visited paid monument in the world, and almost anyone visiting Paris will have the Eiffel Tower on their itinerary.

Once you have assembled at the meeting point, your Eiffel Tower tour will begin. With a maximum of just 25 people per group, the tour will feel personalized. Skip the long queues that are a daily occurrence outside this world-famous attraction, with a special access ticket that can potentially save you a lot of vacation time. With a guide accompanying you, you will hear interesting tales about the tower, and understand its cultural significance.

As you get to the second level of the tower, your vantage point will treat you to some incredible sights of Paris. Your guide will suggest the perfect places to catch the best view of the city. You can also see some of the other famous attractions of the city, such as the triumphant Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre Museum housing da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, the titanic Montparnasse Tower and the magnificent Grand Palais. The serene River Seine can be seen snaking through the city. The bustle and clamor of Paris is far below, and the tranquility and calmness of your surroundings are striking. Finally, you can purchase some souvenirs to remember your visit to this amazing structure. It will be a truly unforgettable experience and something that you will cherish forever.
