Aurora Orchestra is known for their unique style of playing musical compositions - playing it by heart. The absence of sheet music lets the orchestra indulge into their instruments more intensively and feel the music completely. The concert will play two main pieces.
Beethoven's 3rd Symphony
Amongst Beethoven's top works, the third symphony propelled Beethoven into new levels of fame. Its large-scale structural composition was completed in 1804. Also known as ‘Eroica’, the piece comprises of four movements.
Richard Strauss's Metamorphosen
Composed near the end of World War 2., the piece was dedicated to Paul Sacher, for allowing Strauss to enter Zurich. Originally written as a septet, Strauss later expanded the piece for 23 strings.
