Sally Field stars in the latest production of this classic work by Tennesse Williams. The original play made its on-stage debut in 1945 and has continued to wow audiences ever since! Bringing to life Williams's most personal work on the stage, the show is a memory play and draws from the memories of the narrator, Tom Wingfield.
Tom, an aspiring poet, makes ends meet toiling in a shoe warehouse. He identifies his friend Jim as a potential suitor for his sister, Laura. A casual dinner conversation brings an unexpected twist when Tom reveals to Jim his plans of joining the merchant marine. What follows is a turn of events that fill Tom with guilt and regret!
