After tragically losing his wife to cancer, Sam and his eight-year-old son Jonah move to Seattle. On Christmas eve, Jonah phones a local radio station and manages to convince his father to talk about how much he misses his wife on live radio. Sam becomes an overnight sensation, and his story touches the hearts of listeners across the country, prompting them to personally write to him. A reporter for the Baltimore Sun named Annie Reed also hears about Sam’s plight. She decides to write a letter to him, asking him to meet her on the top floor of the Empire State Building on Valentine’s Day. Will Sam respond to Annie’s request? What does the future have in store for Sam and his family?

Sleepless: A Musical Romance was conceived by Robert Scott, Brendan Cull, and Michael Burdette.
