Glass. Kill. Bluebeard. Tickets

Watch Glass. Kill. Bluebeard. - three gripping stories presented in one show at the Royal Court Theatre this autumn. Britain’s beloved playwright Cary Churchill returns to the West End with some of her most compelling tales.

    Why Watch Glass. Kill. Bluebeard

Put together by the dynamic duo, playwright Caryl Churchill and director James Macdonald, Glass. Kill. Bluebeard. is set to be another impressive display of top-notch acting and storytelling. Churchill has made a name for herself by dramatising various aspects of power abuse, exploring politics, and talking about life through the lens of feminism. She is famous for moving theatre away from the ‘naturalist’ movement that gripped western drama in the late 19th and early 20th century.

Over her long career, Churchill won numerous awards including the Obie Award for Cloud Nine, the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize for Fen, and the Laurence Olivier Award for Serious Money. She is a master at discovering new genres and themes who has inspired scores of playwrights in the UK and around the world. As Churchill’s close associate, James Macdonald has an impressive repertoire of plays showcased at the Royal Court Theatre including The Wolf From the Door and The Children. He too, is a recipient of various awards including three Evening Standard Awards and an Obie Award.

    The Story

Although there is much speculation about what Glass. Kill. Bluebeard. is about, Caryl Churchill’s characteristic exploration of feminism and non-naturalistic devices is bound to be an integral part of this triple bill. The first story follows the tale of a girl made of glass, the second delves into the horrors of murders and supernatural forces, while the third is a peek into the lives of a serial killer’s friends.
