Guided Tour of Roman Basilicas & Underground Catacombs on the Appian Way

The tickets on most websites were rather cheap, but I thought Headout had a better itenarary and went with them

The burial spots from back in the day were rather dope.

Being able to see some of the most ancient churches from back in the day (and how eerily quiet and peaceful they are) was something I crossed off my checklist happily.

It was a little boring to be honest, and every part except for the air conditioned buses were burning hot

We fortunately got the option of transfers from out hotel..Do check with your customer rep after booking tickets incase your hotel falls within the vicinity. you could get a free ride as well

The Holy Staircase literally had me falling on my knees! I would give up a thousand trips elsewhere just to experience that again

As a child, I'd always wondered about the mystery catacombs and I finally got the chance to experience them

It's really pretty and everything, but don't go unless you really appreciate history and art

Sheer beauty!

Remarkable sight! Worth it

This was sort of a spiritual trip (or so one might call) but honestly, as long as you can appreciate ancient artwork and historical importance, this is a trip one cannot miss

Have I ever seen a sight as beautiful as the St Mary Church? That would be a hard no! Sure sight for sore eyes

Make sure you carry tones of sunscreen with you because it's a long nice day walking through sunny Rome

Do visit the Basilica of St. John Lateran - the beautiful structure that's topped by exquisite sculptures. Inside, you can witness the colourful interiors of the oldest church in the West.

The artwork at the catatomb is simply unmissable

If you're a fellow History buff, I'd give a firm thumbs up because not one thing about this trip was exhausting
