Reykjavik is a city filled with cultural and architectural richness. It is a popular tourist destination that is home to about 123,300 people. There is much to see and do in this capital city of Iceland. It is widely accepted that the city was first established in the late 9th Century AD. It was a small settlement until 1786, when it was boosted to the status of ‘official trading town’ of Iceland. Over the last two centuries, the city has steadily grown and expanded its dominance in the area. The Old Höfði house is best known for the crucial global summit that was held here. Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbatsjov took part in the summit in 1986. It is also believed to be haunted by the White Lady.
The Harpa Concert Hall is a marvel of modern architecture that won the Miss van der Rohe Award for Contemporary Architecture in 2013. Hallgrímskirkja is a major church that sits at the city center. It was inspired by the basalt columns of Gerðuberg.

The tour will begin at the Old Höfði House. If you are lucky, you might spot the White Lady, a ghost that is believed to haunt the house. You will then proceed to the Harpa concert hall where you will see a uniquely colored facade that attempts to replicate the visual texture of the iconic basalt columns of Iceland.
The City Center and Hallgrímskirkja Church, one of the tallest structures in the country, will be your next destination. It is built to resemble many of the commonly found formations in the Icelandic landscape. The tour will end with a visit to the Perlan Glass Dome. Enjoy the 360-degree view of the city from atop the dome. You will also pass by Bessastaðir, the residence of the Icelandic President.
