Rome Catacombs and Vatican Museums Skip The Line Guided Tour

Next on the itinerary is a visit to some of the other basilicas and ancient streets of Rome. You can see the Holy Staircase, also known as the Scala Sancta. The 28 marble steps are encased in protective wood and are surrounded by marvellous examples of Renaissance art.

After this, you will take a stroll through the Appian way, an ancient street of Rome and pass the Chapel of Domine Quo Vadis, before reaching the Catacombs. Eerie and mysterious, these catacombs give you a view into the life of people in the early 3rd and 4th century. Paintings and sculptures from this era are visible throughout the underground cemetery.
