The National park was a lot of fun, but if you wish to spend more time here, I'd recommend buying another golden circle ticket

The Reykjavik harbour is so beautiful- I'm still in shock! This is a great way to see the sealife in Iceland, by the way

Nothing quite like the mud pools and hot springs of Iceland, but the whale watching experience beats it all

Your Golden Circle tour will begin in the morning. The Golden Circle is comprised of three main natural attractions. Perhaps the largest of these is the Thingvellir National Park, overflowing with a multitude of natural landscapes. You will see several cracks and faults in the region since it the exact spot of the juncture between the Eurasian and North American plates, not to mention the rift valley on the shores of the largest lake in the country. You will then visit the Geysir geothermal area where you can witness massive eruptions of steaming hot water up to 40 meters high, courtesy of the still active geyser, StrokkuR. Afterwards, marvel at the Gullfoss Waterfall, a stunning spectacle of cool water plunging over 30 meters in height into the depths of the canyon below.

Once you return from the Golden Circle tour, you will have approximately an hour before you board the fishing vessel at 5 PM. You can explore the old harbor of Reykjavik and its numerous cafes and boutiques as you stroll around the bustling area. You will then meet your guide at the Whale Watching Center. Due to the mixing of the cold Arctic Seawater and the warm North Atlantic Ocean, the region around Iceland is the perfect feeding region. On tours, eight varieties of whales can frequently be seen, including the largest mammal on Earth, the blue whale.

On your cruise, you will see massive humpback whales, dolphins and playful minke whales. Several unique species of birds can also be found flying around and catching fish. The whale watching guide will give you much-needed insight into the various species of animals found in Faxafloi Bay. An onboard multimedia show that includes video and images will give you an excellent overview and compelling facts about the marine life. At the end of this exhilarating 3-hour expedition, you will have much better awareness and knowledge of sea life in Iceland.
