About
The Neue Galerie, New York is a museum of early twentieth-century German and Austrian art and design established in 2001. It was started by two men and their shared passion for commitment to art. The museum is divided into sections- the second floor contains fine art and decorative from early-20th Century Austria, while the third floor exhibits German art from the same era.
In all, the museum houses works by Gustav Klimt, Oskar Kokoschka, the artisans of Wiener Werkstaette, Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, among others.

Don't Miss
The painting "Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I" (1907) by Gustav Klimt remains on permanent display. The first of two portraits Klimt painted of Bloch-Bauer, it has been referred to as the final and most fully representative work of his golden phase.
