Take a break from bustling Osaka and head to the Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto, dedicated to Inari, the Shinto God of rice. The thousands of vermillion torii gates here follow a trail that leads to the sacred Mount Inari. Your expert guide will show you around the most important aspects of the shrine and tell you the fascinating myths, legends and stories associated with the place.

Next up is Gion, a famous geisha district. Stroll through this traditional streetscape of Kyoto where tea houses and restaurants line up and lattice doors continue. You will get to meet actual maiko as well as see the legendary Yasaka Shrine here, where the summer festival of Gion Matsuri takes place every July. The festival dates back over a thousand years and involves a procession with massive floats and hundreds of participants!

Continue onwards to Arashiyama, known for sightseeing spots for cherry blossoms and autumn leaves. Walk through the beautiful Sagano Bamboo Grove and admire the Togetsukyo Bridge, before making your way back to Osaka.
