What is Snow Abu Dhabi?
Sign up for a snow-kissed adventure at this new addition in the capital of the UAE: Snow Abu Dhabi! Home to the (soon-to-be) largest snow city in the world, Abu Dhabi gives you a simple solution to escape from the prickly desert heat. Make your way through the massive indoor ski slope and enjoy rides and attractions, all enveloped in snow!
Why Visit Snow Abu Dhabi?
Snow Abu Dhabi promises endless fun and peaked levels of excitement for all ages. Needless to say, once opened, it will be a must-visit attraction in Abu Dhabi. The enchanted-forest-themed park lets you play with, slide in, lay on, jump off, and climb through snow, a phenomenon that is foreign in the sun-kissed dunes of the UAE.
Snow Abu Dhabi Zones
The Snow Park is said to have five distinct zones:
Snowflake Garden
At Snowflake Garden, you’re encouraged to embrace the white-colored canvas of snow head on and engage in quintessential snow-related activities. Your snow garden is wonderfully white, inviting you to make snowballs and begin a fun fight with your friends. Lay on the ground and make a snow angel, capturing the moment on film or camera. Don’t leave Snowflake Garden without building a snowman from scratch (bring along a carrot from home for his nose!)
Flurries’ Mountain
Have you ever seen a mountain caked with snow? Have you ever climbed said mountain? If not, fret not, for there’s a first time for everything! The Flurries’ Mountain can be climbed easily, but what lies ahead? Brave ahead in anticipation as you and your friends climb your way up the magnificent mountain that leads you to the Enchanted Tree!
The Enchanted Tree
Now that you’ve made your way to the top, gaze down at the snowy village below. The views from the Enchanted Tree are marvelous, so make sure to capture them on your phones (Instagram moments aplenty!) The Enchanted Tree itself offers a magical atmosphere for you and your friends to partake in a range of activities.
Crystal Carousel
Take a whirl around the pretty merry-go-round, featuring magical animals of the ice forest. The Crystal Carousel is a great place to take your children and let them bask in the mystical atmosphere of the ice forest! Even if the animals aren’t real, the crystal carousel has a way of making them seem almost life-like!
Blizzard’s Bazaar
The Bazaar is the last stop of the Snow Park, a place where you can create memories of various sorts to take home with you. Buy your friends postcards with cheery photos on them, pick up a winter hat for the cold weather, or gift a scarf to your loved ones. The souvenirs you’ll find at this charming shop, you’ll find nowhere else!

Things to Do Near Snow Abu Dhabi
Reem Mall
You don’t need to travel much from the Snow Park to have fun! The Snow Park is in the massive Reem Mall, home to the world’s largest indoor snow park, 450 stores, food & beverage outlets, hypermarkets, a multiplex cinema, and then some. If you’re looking for a nice, chill day at the mall, this is really the place to be. There is ample parking space (up to 6,800 spaces) and is connected by public transportation.
Other Malls
Apart from Reem Mall, there are many other places where you can satiate your quench for a good shopping spree. The Shams Boutik Mall houses a number of independent retailers, brands, cafés, and restaurants. It is located near the Sun & Sky Towers, making it easily accessible. The Galleria Mall, also known as one of Abu Dhabi’s best malls, promises a great shopping experience. Even though it’s located on Mayah Island (a few minutes away), it’s worth the visit!
Reem Central Park
One of Al Reem Island’s best outdoor attractions is its Central Park. A breath of fresh air, this park lets you taste the outdoors comfortably. Stroll through the open spaces, lined with food trucks, and try local favorites (heard a lot about shawarmas?) The park overlooks the scenic mangroves amid lush greenery, exuding a unique picturesque vibe. With many fountain features, multi-sports courts, skateboard parks, a children’s playground, pedestrian and cyclist paths, this park is well equipped.
Al Aziz Mosque
One of Al Reem Island’s most cherished attractions is the Al Aziz Mosque. This mosque boasts an innovative concrete façade that comes to life at night: using light-transmitting concrete technology, you’ll find it brilliantly illuminated at nightfall, a grand sight at this island!
