Jigokudani, a sulfurous geothermal crater also known as the Valley of Hell, is a good place to start your journey. Observe the untamed, primal scene of steaming, spouting geysers. As you progress on this fantastic day trip, enjoy the fresh air and splendor of Lake Toya and Lake Shikotsu, two of Hokkaido's outstanding lakes.

After lunch, head to the volcanic Shikotsu-Toya National Park to enjoy its scenic surroundings. Enjoy magnificent views of Showa Shinzan Mountain and Lake Toya. Observe the serene waters and distinctive volcanic landscape of Lake Toya from Silo Observatory. Visit Lake Shikotsu, Japan's second-deepest lake. Watch the snow-white waters of the caldera (volcanic crater) lake as it is encircled by tall mountain peaks.
