Immerse yourself in the luxurious universe of afternoon tea, champagne, and exquisitely-crafted delicacies at Theater Royal Drury Lane. One of the most established performance center destinations on the planet – visited by almost each British Monarch since 1660 – there's no better place to encounter such delightful British tradition.

Did you know this custom began in 1840 when Anna Russell, the seventh Duchess of Bedford, asked for tea with bread, butter, and cake to be brought to her room at 5pm. This turned into an everyday affair and became a popular social activity, spreading across the upper circles. Similar to the royal furnishings of old, you'll be facilitated in the Grand Saloon of the Theatre. With its Georgian architecture including chandeliers, vaulted ceilings, and compelling artwork, this setting will greatly enhance your tea and tasting experience. The terraces look out onto the charming Covent Gardens.

Sample a collection of Rare Tea Company teas and Taittinger champagne along with savory bites and sweet treats. Celebrity London chef, Lily Vanilli, is responsible for the menu and doesn't disappoint with signature dishes as well as timeless tea-time favorites. Enjoy include sausage rolls, warm scones with whipped cream and jam, tarts, toffee puddings, chocolate cake, and a lot more.
