You start at the Alcazaba of Almeria, where your tour guide will brief you in on the city. Then trickle down onto the streets of the historic center, where you will notice the Church of San Juan, the old Arab mosque, and more. It is then time to make your food stop: head into a typical bar, and gorge on tapas and a drink of your choice.

Once your appetite has been satiated, continue onto the Cathedral square, the Constitutional Square, and the Town Hall, all emblematic places of the city. Take your food break again and replenish your bodies with yet another tapas and drink. You will then walk through the Arab Cisterns, the Purchena Gate, and the Spanish Civil War Shelters, where you will taste an acclaimed Almerian liquor, the American in the Amalia Kiosk! Finally, at the central market, head into the last bar on your itinerary and relish your final tapas and drink for the day, as you begin to understand why Almeria is called the gastronomical capital of Spain!
