The Duomo is an awsome building inside and out. Good to have 2 queues, one for on foot and one for using the lift. The lift queue was significantly shorter at 09h00 in the morning so got in quickly. There are stil quite a few stairs to negotiate even if you do use the lift to go up. Otherwise no issues with the visit, it was certainly worthwhile

The Cathedral

The Cathedral of Milan is a large church with large dark marble blocks in its interior. You will be able to see the structure’s stylish and expansive architecture with tall marble columns and carved statues that reach the roof in its interior. The large paintings depicting various religious scenes hung among the columns are an awe-inspiring sight.

The Rooftop Terraces

Climb the designated stairwell or take the lift to the terraces of Duomo Milan and take in the finest vistas of Milan from this distinctive viewpoint. You can observe the beautiful cityscape of Milan between you and the horizon from here. The Madonnina, a 14-foot-high golden figure of Mary that also happens to be the building's tallest point, is the terrace's crowning gem.

The Museum

A visit to the Museo del Duomo is a very different experience compared to that of the cathedral. The museum is a calm, quiet space where sculptures can be studied up close, taking in the colors of the marble and the details of one-of-a-kind works of art that have been installed on the monument, often at dizzying heights. The museum has meticulously expanded and enriched its halls and exhibits over time.

La Scala Museum and Theatre

Alfredo Catalani, Giuseppe Verdi, Arturo Toscanini, Tullio Serafin, and many others are among the greatest composers, prominent singers, concert directors, conductors, and choirs to have played here.
