Burn This: Broadway Story<\/h2>\n

Set in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, Burn This explores the lives of four people brought together by a funeral. Robbie is a gay man who dies in a boat accident with his lover and at his funeral, the four people meet \u2013 his roommates Anna, an emotional dancer, and Larry, and their neighbors who live in the loft below them, Burton who is Anna\u2019s boyfriend and Pale, a temperamental restaurant manager.<\/p>\n

Anna and Pale come together and explore their desire to be with each other, while Anna is figuring out her dance career and the future. Everybody else is disturbed by the death of Robbie and dealing with their own frailty and life decisions. Their contrasting personalities \u2013 Anna\u2019s sensitivity, Pale\u2019s emotional instability, and Burton\u2019s ambiguity create an emotional turmoil. Burn This first premiered on Broadway at the Plymouth Theatre in 1987 and ran for 437 performances. It was later performed at West End and other production tours.
