About The Theatre<\/a> Seating Chart<\/a><\/p>\n

Located at 227 West 42nd Street, the American Airlines theatre is a historic, Italian Renaissance style Broadway theatre. The American Airlines was built by the Selwyn brothers, Edgar and Archie, in 1918, and was originally named after them. After years of neglect, the theatre was restored to its former glory and reopened as the American Airlines on June 30, 2000 in honor of its major sponsor. The American Airlines theatre was originally used to house major musical and dramatic shows, but functioned as a cinema hall and even as a temporary home for the Times Square Visitors Center. <\/p>\n

Presently, it houses the Roundabout\u2019s major dramatic shows. Some of the most prominent productions mounted on the American Airlines theatre include, The Man Who Came to Dinner, Betrayal, A Day in the Death of Joe Egg, 12 Angry Men, The Constant Wife, The Pajama Game, Les liaisons dangereuses, John Lithgow: Stories by Heart, and more!<\/p>\n
