About The Theatre<\/a> Seating Chart<\/a><\/p>\n

Located at 236 West 45th Street, the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre is a popular Broadway house. Named in honor of the chairman of the Shubert Organization in 2005, the theatre was previously known as the Plymouth Theatre. The Schoenfeld Theatre was designed by architect Herbert J. Krapp and boasts a Spanish revival style architecture that mimicked the neighboring Shubert and Booth Theatres.<\/p>\n

The performance venue opened in 1918 with the production of A Successful Calamity, a comedy starring William Gillette and Estelle Windood. The building is currently owned by the Shuberts after having been leased to producer Arthur Hopkins.<\/p>\n

In its century-long existence, the theatre has hosted many notable productions, including A Doll’s House, Dial M for Murder, Plaza Suite, Godspell, A Delicate Balance, The Bridges of Madison County, American Psycho and more.<\/p>\n

Orchestra<\/strong>: The Orchestra is entirely step-free for all patrons, and it is on the same level as the entrance to the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.Once in the section, there are seven wheelchair spaces across rows R and S, with up to three companion seats per booking in front or to the side. A further seven transfer seats with folding armrests are located in rows K, L, N, Q and R with one companion seat available for each.Mezzanine<\/strong>: There are four transfer seats with folding armrests in the Mezzanine located at J27, F101, J102 and J114. Each transfer seat has a companion seat available to purchase to the side.There are no elevators or escalators at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, so patrons booking these transfer seats will need to access the section up one flight of stairs (31 steps). Entrance is behind row K, and there are two steps down to each row. Handrails are located at the end of every stepped row.<\/p>\n
