About The Theatre<\/a> Seating Chart<\/a><\/p>\n

Named after celebrated actor couple, Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne, the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre opened as the Globe Theatre in 1910 with the musical The Old Town. This Broadway theatre was designed by architect firm Carrere and Hastings and funded by producer Charles Dillingham. The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre is located on 205 West 46th Street and boasts a grand Beaux-Arts facade. After a couple of decades of functioning as a Broadway house, the theatre was converted into a movie house in the 1930s.<\/p>\n

In 1957, after another couple of decades, the theatre underwent major renovation work, including removal of the second balcony and most of its original decor. The theatre was rechristened the Lunt-Fontanne and reopened in May 1958 with a production of Friedrich Durrenmatt’s The Visit. In recent years, the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre has hosted some Broadway spectaculars, including Hello, Dolly!, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and more!.<\/p>\n

There are five designated wheelchair spaces in G15, W15, Z3, Z4 and Z113. Front Mezzanine<\/strong>: The Front Mezzanine is only accessible by stairs, and is located one level above the Orchestra. Once in the section, there may be a further two steps up or down to each row. Entrance is behind row E.Rear Mezzanine<\/strong>: The Rear Mezzanine is only accessible by stairs, and is located one level above the Orchestra. Once in the section, there may be a further two steps up or down per row to reach your seat. The entrance is in front of row A.<\/p>\n
