About The Theatre<\/a> Seating Chart<\/a><\/p>\n

Al Hirschfeld Theater opened as the Martin Beck Theatre on 11 November 1924 with a production by Madame Pompadour. It was named after its owner, the vaudeville entrepreneur Martin Beck. At the time, this was the only theater in New York to be fully owned without any mortgage provisions. The new owner and operator of the theatre, Jujamcyn Theatres, purchased the venue from the Beck family in 1965. On 21 June 2003, the name of the theater was changed to the Al Hirschfeld Theater in memory of the Broadway caricaturist Albert Hirschfeld<\/a> who expired in January of the same year. <\/p>\n

Orchestra<\/strong>: Designated wheelchair and companion seats are all located on this level, spread across the aisle seats in rows P and T of the Left and Right Orchestra. Six wheelchair spaces are available per performance, with up to four companion seats next to these.Mezzanine<\/strong>: There are no elevators or escalators at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, and the Mezzanine is located up one flight of stairs (20 steps.) Entrance is behind row D, with an additional two steps up to each row. All staircases in the theater have handrails.<\/p>\n
