Mean Girls: The Musical is set to make its dazzling debut in London in 2024. Having already conquered Broadway with its musical adaptation of the cult classic film, Mean Girls’, the West End debut is now poised to unleash its wild and sassy high school antics upon London’s Savoy theatre<\/a> (not the smaller Other Place). Get ready for a thrilling journey through the jungle of teenage drama!<\/p>\n

Cast and creatives<\/h2>\n

While the cast playing the iconic Mean Girls characters is yet to be announced, we expect nothing less than extraordinary from the creative ensemble behind the West End debut. Tina Fey<\/b>, the genius behind the film’s screenplay, has also penned the musical’s book and the captivating music is orchestrated by Fey’s husband, Jeff Richmond<\/b>. The witty lyrics are crafted by the talented Nell Benjamin<\/b>, renowned for her contributions to Legally Blonde. When it hit Broadway, the production was masterminded by a powerhouse team including Lorne Michaels<\/b>, Stuart Thompson<\/b>, and Sonia Friedman<\/b>, with the brilliant direction and choreography of Casey Nicholaw<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Mean Girls West End showcase: The teenage high school drama<\/h2>\n

At the heart of the all the drama is Cady Heron, an innocent newcomer who has just transitioned from the African savanna to a starkly different suburban life in Illinois. Cady finds herself entangled in the complex hierarchy of high school popularity as she encounters Regina George, a brazen and bold figure, and her trio of adored confidantes. In her quest to topple Regina’s dominance, Cady embarks on a journey of self-discovery and learns valuable lessons about the true meaning of friendship and self-esteem.<\/p>\n
