Michael Stewart’s and Jerry Herman’s masterpiece, "Hello, Dolly!," returns to Broadway more than fifty years after it's first production. This time around, "Hello, Dolly!" stars none other than the delightful Bette Midler as the lovable matchmaker, Dolly Levi. Directed by four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks, this revival production pays tribute to the original work of legendary director/choreographer Gower Champion, which has been hailed both then and now as one of the greatest stagings in musical theater history.

The Story

"Hello, Dolly!" tells the story of an outspoken matchmaker and widow, Dolly Levi. Things take a turn for Dolly when she sets her own sights on a man - a dry- goods merchant, also known as the “half-a-millionaire”, Horace Vandergelder. To seal the deal, however, Dolly must sabotage the match she has already put into place for Horace with Irene Molloy. In other matters of business, Dolly also needs to convince Horace to let his besotted daughter, Ermengarde, marry the prospects-challenged artist, Ambrose. Can dolly pull it off? Find out what happens at the Shubert Theatre!
