It took us a while to get seated, because the process of getting to the restaurant from the first security gate was complicated. We thought they would simply scan the bars code on our reservation and let us in, but first we had to give our name to be crossed off their list, then get a paper ticket, then go to a second security gate where they scanned the paper ticket, then we had to give our name again to get crossed off another list, and finally we could enter the restaurant. We wondered why the process wasn't streamlined and all digitally scanned. Once we got seated, we had a great experience. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. Our only complaint was the bread and crème de Chou were a little dry/stale, otherwise it was a very flavorful meal with nice choice of dishes. We had plenty of time after the meal to walk around the observation deck and enjoy views of Paris. We chose to walk down the steps to return to ground level. It was quick and also a great way to see the steel structure of the tower up close.

The visitable rooms of the palace are in good condition, with adequate light to appreciate their cultural and historical value, with accessible arrangements along a well-structured route. The garden, due to the winter period I was in for the visit, did not have the proper appreciation that can usually be appreciated in spring/summer.

We enjoyed introducing our grandson to this monument. At the end of the 284 steps, we discovered the mini-museum. A few more steps and we're on the roof, where the view is magnificent. Access to the Arc is via the Passage du souvenir.

The museum, gallery , garden and cafe at The Rodin Museum is a perfect way to spend a few calm hours in the centre of Paris. Whilst we were there we were delighted with how the Antony Gormly and Rodin exhibits had been integrated. Striking, powerful and thought provoking.

Visit to the Opera Garnier. A wonderful discovery. The only snag was that the meeting point was indicated as being in the middle of the crossroads opposite the opera house... whereas all we had to do was follow the arrows for access via the left wing... but hey, the weather was great!

Beautiful building and location and views. Unfortunately a glitch in my app or internet meant I paid for two lots of two tickets instead of one lot of two tickets. So my partner and I paid twice to visit the tower and nobody could help. Hoping I will get a response and refund for the two tickets I paid extra on.

Paris is a safe city to visit yet there are a few things tourists should keep in mind:
- Keep your belongings with you at all times and be aware of your surroundings
- Do not leave your belongings unattended, especially in busy areas or on public transportation
- Be aware of scams and avoid being taken advantage of by dishonest people
- If you're lost, ask a police officer or someone in authority for help

Is Paris expensive?

Paris is not as expensive as some other European cities, but it is not the cheapest destination either. The budget for a low-budget traveler is around €60-70 per day, while for a medium-budget traveler it is around €100-120. For luxury travelers, the budget can be as high as €300 or more.
