I bought a 72 hrs Welcome Berlin card zone ABC. I travelled 3 days by train and bus. I had the hardcopy in bag and in the App in my phone. I didn't spent any time at the machine, as i wouldn't have had a clue what to choose. Also I visited the Alte Nationalgalarie ( ticket is included in the card- so i didn't pay any extra). On Saturday I visited the Charlottenburg Palace and Sansoucci Palace ( New Chambers) with the same ticket for € 14.50 (£ 12.95). Very convenient!

The simplicity of the application, free access to Museum Island, simply the Berlin experience! Please, fewer construction sites on your next visit and better subway stations with elevators for people with walkers!

Easy access to all sightseeing. Very helpful , we had the opportunity to visit all the town and except the free entrance in museum island, we had discount in almost all important places

Travelling around the S & U Bahns was very easy knowing we didn't have to have to worry about buying tickets. Having the BWC also made going into the museums very quick as no queuing which was good as we had rain on our visit. We also made use of the discounts to a few attractions so made our visit to Berlin very enjoyable. We would totally recommend the BWC card !

This city card also offers free entry to Berlin Museum Island's Ancient National Gallery, Ancient Museum, Bodemuseum, New Museum and Pergamon Museum: The Panorama.

Seamless activation

After you receive your digital tickets, print the ticket in A4 format and carry it with you as it is validated only in printed form. To access discounts on attractions and other services, you must show your ticket to each discount partner before availing of the discount. The public transport tickets can be validated before your first journey anywhere in the city. Spot the validation machines with ease in the airport, city railway platforms, buses and trams.

The 72-hour tickets are valid for exactly 72 hours, from the moment of validation. For instance, if you’ve picked the 72-hour card, and use it for public transport at 8:30am on Monday, then it is valid till 8:29am for the following Thurday.

Additional information

Children between the ages 6 and 14 can travel free on an adult’s ticket (3 per ticket).
Note that the AB fare zone covers Berlin’s urban area and the ABC zone covers Berlin, the surrounding area, Potsdam and BER Airport.
Please note that you cannot extend the Berlin WelcomeCard AB fare zone by adding a single connection ticket for the C fare zone.
