What is the Museum of Future Dubai
The Museum of Science is an initiative by the UAE that explores the future of science and technology. The Museums aims to provide a platform where innovators from both technology giants as well as budding startups can test the latest prototypes and inventions. Specialized workshops and advanced courses will also be offered here, in addition to public events and talks centered around technology.
Museum of Future Concept
The Museum of the Future is a brainchild of Dubai’s ruler, HRH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as part of his Dubai Foundation initiative. The museum will serve as a platform for exploration and learning in the fields of science and technology. Innovative solutions for problems revolving around climate change, healthcare, transportation, food security, and space by leveraging artificial intelligence.
Museum of Future Design and Construction
The design of the Museum of the Future aims to defy all the architectural and artistic boundaries, resulting in an avant-garde construction that is breathtaking to see in person. The unique structure is designed by Killa Designs and is built across 7 floors. Three floors feature immersive exhibitions and explore the fields of outer space exploration, bioengineering, and It stands at nearly 80 meters in height and can easily be seen on Sheikh Zayed Road.
The structure is in the shape of a massive silver-colored oval having an open center and resembles an eye. The steel structure is adorned with black calligraphy in Arabic. The entire structure makes use of more than 2400 fiberglass and stainless steel panels, all of them intersecting and crisscrossing to create an incredible final result. Owing to its sustainable design and materials used, the museum has been awarded a LEED certification, one of the top-ranked certifications given to green structures.
