After Rembrandt married Saskia van Uylenburgh, they moved into their own place in the upscale Amster Breestraat (Broadway), today known as Jodenbreestraat, in 1639. The Rembrandt Open Studio residency transforms Rembrandt's historic home into a vibrant hub of creativity. Each autumn, two talented emerging artists are granted the unique opportunity to produce new works within the hallowed halls of Rembrandt's former residence. Over a two-month period, these contemporary artists set up their studios in one of the museum's exhibition rooms, fostering an inspiring environment for the creation of cutting-edge art. Come face-to-face with Rembrandt’s iconic painting of his son Titus from the collection of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. The masterpiece is back to the place where it was created after nearly 400 years!
