It is conveniently located close to the Louvre and the Musée D'Orsay but is compact so that only a few hours visit is necessary unlike its far larger neighbours!

We enjoyed our visit to the orangery, where we had a great time as a family. We were able to travel back in time thanks to the magnificent works by Renoir, Matisse .....and the marvellous water lilies, which still impress us to this day!

I'd like to make an observation. The Orangerie was wonderful from the entrance to the most "delicate" moment, at the luggage storage. The women who attended to me were very, very kind, especially considering that I was loaded because I'd done some shopping beforehand that I'd planned to do, they might as well not have let me in... but they attended to me very well. It's just that the Orangerie is smaller, it must be less targeted than the D'Orsay and Louvre. It was VERY unpleasant there. On the one hand, I was wrong, I admit, because I was close to the museum closing. But what happened was something I saw, although it's understandable because the museum is so big, a major miscommunication on the part of the staff when directing people to the luggage lockers. Because I arrived late, I had to leave my things in a locker downstairs. Then, when it was time to leave, the staff, doing their job, told me to leave and I said "well, I have to get my things and they're downstairs because you told me to!". And then they simply said that "it's impossible to have a guard downstairs", and they didn't know how to guide me. It was embarrassing because I understand that I made a mistake by arriving late according to the rules that the museum is entitled to, but I think that anyone who visits also has the right. If I arrived, even on time, with my things, even if it's not the most appropriate thing to be carrying when visiting a museum, I also think that those who go have the right to be treated within the possibilities. I was loaded and I left my things in the luggage locker, neither the top one nor the bottom one, which is more inaccessible; so much so that there was a miscommunication between the staff themselves who didn't know how to direct me to get there, who simply told me to leave, to the point that 1. I had to say "but you have someone to let you take my things" and 2. A member of staff who wasn't even inside (and one of those who was, a very blonde lady, was very unfriendly), who literally controlled the entrance, was the one who showed me the stairs to the downstairs guard. So I made the mistake that getting close to closing meant I had to stay in the downstairs guardroom. But come on, I had the right to be guided to get there, even if I had to leave the museum, and for that, the staff had to be more communicative and willing, with the exception of the gentleman who was near the stairs (and who was too far away to know anything about the inside of the museum, unlike his colleagues). Anyway, let me make this criticism.

Acting as a permanent house for the eight Water Lilies murals, one of Claude Monet's famous works, the Orangerie Museum is a must-see attraction. Once you enter the museum and pass the security check, you will be able to lay your eyes upon the famous Water Lilies situated at Level 0 of the museum. First conceptualized in 1909 by Monet, he described it as a "Room for peaceful meditation in the midst of a flowering aquarium". Separate yourself from the hustle of the outside world as you relax your work-strained nerves in the presence of this famous artwork. At your own pace, you can next make your move to the rest of the museum, housing various other temporary exhibitions:

Noteworthy artworks from the museum's collection include Water Lilies by Claude Monet, Gabrielle and Jean by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, The Young Apprentice by Amedeo Modigliani, and Pommes et Biscuits by Paul Cézanne.
