Why Watch Waitress

Starring five-time Grammy Award-nominated singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles, Waitress is one of Broadway’s most recent successes. Uplifting and relatable, the musical strikes a personal chord with audiences. Bareille’s score debuted at number ten on the US Billboard 200 chart, and instantly received outstanding critical acclaim.

The Story

Waitress tells the story of Jenna, a young waitress and an expert baker. Pregnant and caught in a loveless marriage, Jenna finds happiness in her creative pies. When a baking contest in a nearby county offers her a rare chance at escape, she must weigh her commitments against this shot at freedom. Her customers, co-workers and a handsome new doctor in town all offer her conflicting recipes for happiness- but Jenna must decide for herself.

Critics Reviews

“Ms. Mueller, who won a Tony for her performance in "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical," possesses a rich, soulful and emotionally translucent voice, and an ability to bring heaping cupfuls of subtext to her acting.”
– New York Times

“The key statement is not that Waitress is a musical from a team of women, but that Waitress is a good musical from a creative team who happen to be women.”
– Huffington post

I was nervous about purchasing tickets at such a great price. You know the adage, "If it seems to good to be true..." Our seats were exactly the seats purchased. On other sites the tickets were more than double the price. The Headout representative was waiting as promised near the theater with tickets in hand. Mind you it was 14 degrees and the representative waited for every client to pick up tickets. We had an amazing evening at half the price. Additionally, I contacted customer service prior to picking up the tickets. My questions were answered quickly and I was treated with respect.
